Bristol Old Vic theatre meeting - 6pm 10th January

Sam Townend, Labour's prospective parliamentary candidate for Bristol North West, will attend the public meeting tonight in support of the new committee of the Bristol Old Vic theatre and their bid for the Arts Council to pay over the £2.1 m for much needed capital works.

Sam said, "The Old Vic is the oldest working theatre in the country and of regional or, even, national importance.  I am attending the meeting to support the new committee and their bid for the Arts Council to hand over the much needed capital investment money.  They have supported other theatres across the country and near by, such as in Bath, and I want them to support Bristol in this now.  I want to see the theatre re-open as soon as possible with a new and exciting range of performances for the many different audiences in Bristol."

Promoted by Chris Lennie, Acting General Secretary, the Labour Party,on behalf of the Labour Party, both at 39 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0HA.
Hosted by Tangent Labs, 32-42 East Road, London, N1  6AD, England, UK
