'Save our Buses' Meeting

Thanks to all of you who turned out with Sam, to tell the Council and First Bus what you need from a bus service in Southmead. Over 100 people came to the recent meeting on Wigton Crescent and the message was loud and clear:

Retain the 55 bus

First Bus to consult and inform better

Cheaper fares and better busesSam says: "I was disappointed with what First Bus offered at the meeting, especially on refusing to keep the 55. We did get First to say they will leaflet the area and tell you what they plan to do.

"The trouble is we don’t have control over our buses and trains. Local Labour MPs want Bristol to have its own Transport Authority. I agree - it’s only then that we will have more say about our bus and train services"
