Refurbishment of Henbury library

"Thanks to hard work by our Labour councillors, Henbury now has a fantastically refurbished library" said Sam Townend, who visited the library with local councillor and strong supporter of the library, Derek Pickup.

Sam said: "New families in Henbury can also get FREE books to keep – thanks to Labour’s Bookstart initiative. Run by Bristol Libraries the idea is to encourage reading from an early age".

The Library, which has recently shown a historic photographs exhibition featuring Henbury residents from the last 100 years, is now more popular than ever before.

"I urge everyone locally to join and borrow books and use Labour’s free internet service", said Sam

Promoted by Chris Lennie, Acting General Secretary, the Labour Party,on behalf of the Labour Party, both at 39 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0HA.
