Opening of Bristol Magistrates Courthouse

Sam Townend, Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for Bristol North West, is attending the official opening of the new Courthouse and regional probation office, by HRH The Duke of Kent, on Thursday 22nd May at 1- 3pm at Marlborough Street, BS1 3NU.

Sam is a practising barrister and an elected member of the Bar Council of England and Wales.

He is also a campaigner for improvement in the way we deal with criminal justice.

He strongly supports the Ministry of Justice investment in Court infrastructure in Bristol. Sam says:

“To do justice properly requires decent facilities- at last Bristol is getting them.

The new facilities will provide a more secure and better service for victims of crime and witnesses, as well as the people who work in the Court service, from Judges to court clerks.

The provision of decent courthouses which operate efficiently and quickly is a clear demonstration of how this Government takes crime and justice seriously.

Promoted by Chris Lennie, Acting General Secretary, the Labour Party,on behalf of the Labour Party, both at 39 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0HA.
Hosted by Tangent Labs, 32-42 East Road, London, N1  6AD, England, UK
